The Empire Rushmore 30" Clean-Face Direct-Vent Gas Fireplace Insert brings the look and control of a modern gas fireplace to an existing fireplace opening. Built around Empire's TruFlame technology, the Rushmore combines independently controlled burners, a deep ember presentation, and electronic ignition to create a realistic fire while giving you precise control over heat and flame appearance.
A multi-function remote is included for convenient control of flame height, thermostat settings, blower speed, adjustable lighting, and the split-flow secondary burner. The insert also includes a circulating blower, down lighting, barrier screen, and battery backup components for the control system.
The Rushmore 30 is available in Natural Gas and Propane configurations. Natural Gas models deliver up to 30,000 BTU/hr, while Propane models deliver up to 28,500 BTU/hr. The compact insert body is designed for installation into a compatible existing fireplace and uses a 3-inch combustion-air intake with a 4-inch exhaust liner routed through the existing chimney.

The Rushmore 30 insert requires a compatible log set, liner, and surround to complete the installation. These components are sold separately and should be selected when configuring the insert.
- Log Set – Required: Traditional Charred LS30TINF or Driftwood LS30DINF
- Liner – Required: Black Ceramic Glass DVP30CPKR, Old World Stone DVP30CPWS, Rustic Brick DVP30CPMB, or Whitewashed Herringbone Brick DVP30CPWH
- Surround – Required: Choose one compatible Rushmore 30 standard surround based on the existing fireplace opening and required coverage
Optional Finishing Accessories
The finished appearance can be further customized with optional Empire accessories. The SH1BL shroud can provide additional coverage for larger fireplace openings when used with a compatible surround. Decorative front choices include 1.5-inch Beveled Frames or Forged Iron Frames in multiple finishes.
Choose either a Beveled Frame or Forged Iron Frame as the decorative front. When a Forged Iron Frame is selected, a matching Rectangle or Arch Forged Iron Inset may also be added. Insets require the corresponding forged iron frame and cannot be installed as standalone fronts.
