The Empire Breckenridge Premium 36" See-Through Vent-Free Firebox is a multi-sided, zero-clearance firebox designed to create a two-sided fire view between adjoining spaces. Available with either a Flush Front or Louvered Front, the see-through configuration provides an open fire presentation from both sides while eliminating the need for a chimney or venting system.
The Breckenridge Premium See-Through Firebox is offered as the VFP36SB2EF Flush Front or VFP36SB2EL Louvered Front. Both models include a Banded Brick ceramic fiber liner, curtain-style screens, refractory sills, and standard black hoods.
This is a firebox only and requires a compatible certified vent-free burner and log set, sold separately. Empire specifies that its Breckenridge multi-sided fireboxes accept any properly sized, certified vent-free burner and log set. Compatible configurations include Empire's 18", 24", and 30" Slope Glaze Vista burners with available Stone River and Rock Creek log sets.
A wide range of optional accessories allows the firebox to be customized for the installation and desired appearance, including decorative louvers, liners, doors and frames, a circulation blower with optional variable-speed control, accent lighting, ember accessories, and extended hoods.

A properly sized, certified vent-free burner and log set are required to complete the firebox and are sold separately. Select the burner for the intended Natural Gas or Propane fuel supply and verify compatibility before installation.
Installation Notes
Empire requires the supplied standard hood or an approved optional hood to be installed before the firebox is operated. For installations using surrounding materials thicker than 1 inch, such as stone or brick, the appropriate extended hood must be used. Installation must follow the current Empire installation instructions and all applicable local codes.
