For compatible see-through fireplace installations, a decorative front may be installed on either viewing side. Customers who want matching decorative fronts on both sides should purchase two units.
Confirm your fireplace model before ordering. The DF482VBL is intended for the specified Boulevard vent-free fireplace configurations and is not interchangeable with decorative fronts designed for other fireplace series.
Installation Requirements
Installation of the DF482VBL requires proper preparation of the fireplace opening and surrounding finishing materials. Empire specifies an unfinished gap of 1/16 inch on each side of the fireplace opening and 7/16 inch above and below the opening to accommodate the decorative front.
The decorative front is mounted using threaded rods and flange nuts in accordance with Empire's installation instructions. Access to the fireplace interior is required during installation, and certain fireplace components must be temporarily removed.
All removed components, including the burner glass panels and protective barrier screen, must be properly reinstalled before operating the fireplace. Installation should be performed by a qualified professional following the applicable Empire fireplace and decorative front installation manuals.
Important: This product includes one Empire DF482VBL decorative front only. The gas fireplace is not included and is sold separately.
